Horsell, Woking GU24 4SU

Our Italian delicatessen and coffee shop in Horsell High street follows on from the success of our sister restaurant, Cafe Class, in Woking just a mile and a half away.

As an independent, family run deli we are dedicated to bringing you the most authentic, delicious Italian products which we source directly from our suppliers in Italy.

We visit them, sample the produce, try the wine (but of course ) and if we are happy then we bring it to you.

Artichokes, sun dried tomatoes

Olives and things

If you love sun dried tomatoes in oil, artichokes hearts, mushrooms, olives with a variety of accompaniments, olive oil, virgin olive oil and even extra virgin olive oil, then you will be right at home at Deli Class Delicatessen in Horsell.

Our wonderful cheese range includes dolcelatte, asiago, gorgonzola, pecorino sardo, pecorino toscano and pecorino con pepe to name just a few!

If you have never sampled whiskey soaked cheese, then you are in for a treat. If you have not tasted Gorgonzola Mascarpone cheese, then the words "divine" will subsequently be forever associated with that experience.

Did we mention pasta?
We sell pasta. All types of pasta from Orecchiette to Gnocchetti Sardi and everything in between.
Ask about the best ways to cook and what  to serve the various types of pasta. For instance the Gnocchetti Sardi as you can probably tell from the name originally hails from Sardinia and it is recommended to serve it with pecorino cheese (we sell at least 3 types of pecorino cheese ) and one of the most popular dishes is Gnocchetti Sardi alla Campidanese which lists the ingredients of sausage, tomato, wild fennel, saffron and of course pecorino.

Prosciutto, Salami, Mortadella

All our meats and cheeses are directly sourced from Italian producers to bring you a true taste of Italy!
Our meats include finochiona, mortadella, pancetta, prosciutto cotto, ventricina, capocollo plus many more!

"True" prosciutto comes from Italy, though other versions of prosciutto are made elsewhere.
The most famous prosciutto hams are Prosciutto crudo di Parma from Parma and  Prosciutto crudo di San Daniele from the San Daniele del Friuli area, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

The word 'prosciutto' is the Italian for ham and the word "crudo" incidentally is "raw" though this is a misleading term as the ham is salted and air-dried for between 8 to 24 months.

Parma Ham is generally cut and eaten as is, it comes pre-sliced for you in the supermarkets, but we will cut it to the thickness you desire. We serve it with salads, melon of course and grissini sticks,  but also add it to sauces, not to cook it, but to enhance the flavour of the dish.
